Lendahand Foundation joined forces in a partnership with a local Filipino social enterprise, Rags2riches, to provide funding to their own academy. This academy supports sustainable livelihoods of female artisans in local communities. The funding will be used to organize 5 trainings for 200 local artisans in 2017.
One of Rags2Riches employees participated in the Lendahand SME Academy in Manila. Having a shared vision with the Lendahand Foundation to provide small entrepreneurs with access to knowledge, Rags2Riches reached out for a collaboration.
Rags2Riches is a social enterprise, founded in 2007, with the aim of carrying and maintaining local vulnerable communities out of poverty. They do this by training and empowering artisans in weaving original and handmade rugs.
